Cairo, Jan.9 (BNA) An Egyptian political movement voiced support to Bahrain in confronting attempts to subvert its security and stability.

“The terrorist plots backed by Tehran and “Hezbollah” in Bahrain prove that Iran is adamant on fomenting terrorist acts in the GCC countries”, said the Egyptian Independence Movement.

In an urgent meeting held yesterday, it warned Iran against any attempt to subvert Bahrain’s security and stability. It urged Tehran to stop aiding and abetting, along with “Hezbollah”, terrorist groups in Bahrain.

The party held Iran and “Hezbollah” fully responsible for the terrorist plot which aimed at perpetrating a spate of terrorist bombings in Bahrain. The movement commended the security forces for standing to criminal and subversive acts and foiling terrorist plots.
