Energy Minister meets Finnish corporate delegation

Manama, Apr. 14 (BNA): The Minister of Energy Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza met in his office at the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), with Finland-based Neste Oil Corporation’s CEO, Matti Lievonen, in the presence of CEO of National Oil and Gas Holding B.S.C, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

Bahrain Aircraft Fueling Company (BAFCO)’s Board of Directors Chairman, Abdulrahman Abdullah Kamal; and, BAPCO’S Deputy CEO for Refining and Marketing, Ibrahim Taleb also attended the meeting.

Welcoming Matti Lievonen and all the attendees, the minister praised their continuous efforts aimed to serve the Kingdom’s oil services sector.

The meeting discussed several key topics pertaining to the oil and gas sector, especially the joint venture for production of lubrication oils between Neste Oil, National Oil and Gas company and Bapco. The meeting also discussed the strategic plan to meet the growing demand in global markets for lubrication oils.

Neste Oil’s CEO and all the attendees expressed their utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Minister of Energy for the welcoming reception and the discussion of topics during the meeting, citing the ongoing cooperation and wishing the oil and gas sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain further development and prosperity.
