Energy & Water Conservation Expo & Forum 2013 to Kick-Start on June 17

Manama, June 10. (BNA) — Under the patronage of the Minister of State for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, the 4th Energy Water Conservation Expo Forum 2013, organised by the Electricity and Water Affairs Authority (EWA) and the Bahrain Society of Engineers under the theme of “Towards Sustainable Development”, will kick-start at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre on June 17 and run until 19.


The event, sponsored by NOGA, Tamkeen, BAPCO, GPIC, Alba, among others.

It will address technical issues related to energy and water conservation in Bahrain and the region, and shed light on the latest developments and challenges in the fields of conservation technology, alternative energy, green buildings and sustainable energy.

Dr. Mirza’s opening speech will focus on three main topics: consolidating the infrastructure of the electricity sector, alternative energy sources and conservation.
