English manager of Bahrain quits

Hudson, labelled a Jose Mourinho in the making after working for Harry Redknapp at Tottenham, became the youngest manager in international football when he began his spell in charge of the Middle Eastern nation.

The ex-West Ham youngster, now 33, has attracted more admirers during his historic reign as Bahrain boss.

He moved to Bahrain in 2012, initially to manage their under-23 side while Peter Taylor was in charge of the senior side.

Hudson led them to Gulf Cup glory for the first time in their history before landing the senior job last year.

He continued his good work by leading Bahrain to next year¹s Asian Cup in Australia.

But Hudson has decided to end it after almost a year in the top job.
