External Arbitration of Reports of Participants in Bahrain Centre for Excellence’s …

Manama, Nov. 14. (BNA) – Participants in the programme of the Bahrain Centre for Excellence, from category “B”, have asserted that scheme has provided them with opportunities to reach competitiveness and develop their work systems through the self-appraisal mechanism, in accordance with the vision of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman and constant support for efforts to upgrade work systems in government bodies.

They also expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Bahrain Centre for Excellence for its efforts to improve the quality of their productivity through an advanced programme, which, they said, will consolidate the kingdom’s position, regionally and globally, and maintain its reputation as a pioneering hub of investments.

They also asserted that they have benefitted from the programme through improving the quality of services provided for the citizens and launching projects which enhanced competitiveness in the kingdom.

This came as the jury of the third external evaluation of institutions involved in the programme of the Bahrain Centre for Excellence, from category “B”, continued its work today and was informed about the achievements of the General Directorate of Traffic, HRH Premier’s Court and the Bahrain Exhibition Convention Authority (BECA) regarding self-evaluation and sustainable competitiveness.

Concerning the General Directorate of Traffic, it asserted that it has adopted strategies based on modern technology in order to provide the best services for the public, citing the promotion of traffic culture and the five-phase development of vehicle-licensing services projects aiming to enhance competitiveness.

Regarding HRH Premier Court, the Excellence Team said that follow-up of the government work plan through internal work teams that are committed to excellence requirements, monthly and annual evaluation, labs, field visits of excellence experts and reception of complaints and direct interaction with the relevant officials on them testify to the court’s competitiveness drive.

As far as BECA is concerned, it said that its role is to boost the exhibition and convention sector in the kingdom through providing the best services for dealers in order to establish local and international partnerships.

BECA’s report also highlighted the kingdom’s desire to be a GCC leader in attracting conferences and exhibitions, which will reflect positively on its economy, explaining that the establishment of a modern exhibition centre that provides high-quality services, in accordance with the kingdom’s Economic Vision, 2030, will help achieve that goal.

It is to be noted that the external Arbitration jury includes the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Lt. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa, and InJaz Bahrain Chief Executive Officer Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa, as well as the General Coordinator of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme Professor Ahmed Al Nusairat and the Strategic Marketing expert Dr Said Al-Hasan.
