Fashion Show held in Bahrain for children with special needs

During the ceremony, 40 students presented a fashion show, designed by a number of designers.




Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), deputised Shaikha Thajba bint Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to attend a fashion show for children with special needs entitled: “Bahrain’s Fashions Over time”, organised by the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioral and Communication Difficulties.

The vice-president of the society, Sumaya Hussain, while addressing a gathering said that the Alia Centre for Early Intervention was established to consolidate efforts to provide a suitable environment for children with behavioural and communication disorders so that they can participate effectively with their families and integrate into society.

She said that 20 (male, females) children have graduated from the centre and have joined intermediate schools, adding that 129 students are currently enrolled with the centre and efforts are underway to accommodate more students.

During the ceremony, 40 students presented a fashion show, designed by a number of designers .

The grand show depicted Bahrain’s popular and traditional dresses as well as modern day trends.
