Final arrangements for Bahrain athletes

The first batch of Bahrain’s administrative delegation for the next GCC Games in Dammam, in Saudi Arabia will start departing today.

The second edition of the games is due to take place from October 15 to 26 with Bahrain sending more than 170 of its finest athletes.

The administrative delegation will be making the final arrangements for the Bahrain athletes ahead of the games countdown. Some of these arrangements include the accommodation, transports and training programme for Bahrain’s athletes.

Bahrain delegation director Feras Al Halwachi will be the first to head for Dammam along with his deputy Hamad Al Baker, treasurer Yaqoub Al Mohsin and administrator Mohammed Al Zayed. 

The second batch of officials, including Ghuloom Hussain and Ebrahim Siyadi will leave later on, while the media delegation are set to depart on October 9 and 13.

Bahrain is sending 11 sports disciplines for this edition of the GCC Games. They include athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, handball, weightlifting, table tennis, bowling, karate, swimming and goalball.
