Fitch Downgrades Bahrain Over Lower Oil Prices

Fitch Ratings on Friday downgraded Bahrain’s issuer-default rating one notch, to the brink of junk, citing the fiscal pressure of sharply lower oil prices.

The triple-B-minus rating brings it in line with the other major ratings firms. The outlook is stable. Bahrain’s country ceiling remains at triple-B-plus.
