We had a bit of fog yesterday morning, so why was that pretty much everyone’s cue to turn on their hazard lights?
Contrary to popular belief (in Bahrain anyway), your “yellow lights” are primarily for turning/lane changing.
The secondary function is during a breakdown, ie stationary, that’s it, according to traffic law and it’s the same in the UK. Some people seem to think that in Bahrain the primary function of these lights is to park wherever they like and the secondary function is for driving in poor visibility. Trust me, this is not the case. Having your turn signals constantly flashing whilst doing 100km-plus on the motorway is actually a danger.
How are we supposed to know which lane or exit you are taking, assuming of course that you actually use your turn signals in the first place, an oversight on my part possibly? If you must play good Samaritan and let the rest of us know that it’s foggy outside (like we hadn’t noticed) please reach for your car’s instruction manual and look up ‘fog lights.’
For all you sharp-witted folks out there, yes, there is a clue in the title, you turn these little babies on when it’s foggy, not your hazard lights!
