Foreign minister hails Qatari supportive stances Bahrain

Manama, Jan. 28(BNA): Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa held a phone call with his Qatari counterpart Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and congratulated him on his appointment, wishing him every success.


He said he looked forward to continuing joint cooperation and efforts aimed at bolstering strong bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples in all fields. He stressed the importance of consolidating the gains achieved by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries, strengthening the security and well-being of their people, achieving sustainable development, promoting joint Arab work, maintaining regional stability and staving off all threats and challenges through radical solutions and lasting approaches.

Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa also held a phone call with Qatari Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Ateya and congratulated him on his appointment.
He recalled their joint work to bolster outstanding relations between Bahrain and Qatar, serve the Arab and Islamic causes. He commended Qatar’s stances in support of Bahrain in all circumstances as well as unwavering solidarity in advocating regional and international issues and dedicated efforts to consolidate the pillars regional security and stability, wishing the people of Qatar further progress and stability.
