Foreign Minister meets Bangladeshi counterpart

New York, Sept. 27 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali, on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly being held in New York, US, where they discussed bilateral ties between the two countries and the means of bolstering these relations.


The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the continued progress of ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh at all levels in line with the strong relations between the two countries and their keenness to achieve tangible steps to develop bilateral ties.

He praised the contribution of the Bangladeshi community to the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming the care provided to this community in view of their important role in bolstering ties between the two countries at all levels and creating new horizons for cooperation.

Mr Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen ties with the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing hope that the upcoming period will witness further fruitful cooperation in various fields.
