Foreign Minister Meets Philippine Counterpart

New York-Sept 28 (BNA) Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa held a meeting with Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Albert F. Del Rosario , on the sidelines of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly.


He hailed deep-rooted Bahrain-Philippine relations, affirming the Kingdom’s keenness on bolstering bilateral ties in all fields and promoting joint cooperation.

Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa announced that the first round of political consultations would be held in Manila, the Philippines, early next year.

The two sides discussed issues of mutual concern and the agenda of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly.

Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Albert F. Del Rosario confirmed his participation in the 12th ministerial meeting of Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) and the 3rd GCC-ASEAN ministerial meeting, scheduled to be held in Manama on November 25 and 26, 2013, in Manama, Bahrain.
