Foreign Minister meets Yemeni counterpart

Sharm Al-Shaikh, Mar26(BNA) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today (Thursday ) with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the brotherly Republic of Yemen, Riyadh Yaseen.
The meeting came on the sidelines of the Arab Foreign Ministers’ Preparatory Meeting for the 26th Arab Summit, due in Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt, on Saturday.


During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support of whatever is in the benefit of the brotherly Yemenis and asserted the keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to support all the efforts being exerted to reinforce legitimacy and protect Yemen’s security and stability.

He pointed out that the military operation of the coalition countries to defend the legitimate government in Yemen aims to prevent further deterioration of the situation to a level that endangers the security and stability of the entire region as well as it aims to restore security and stability of the Republic of Yemen and preserve the country’s unity and territorial integrity.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering position, in support for legitimacy and continuation of the political operation, in accordance with the GCC Initiatives and its implementation mechanisms.
