Manama, Jul. 15. (BNA) — Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Khalifa received a phone call from the US Secretary of State Mr. John Kerry regarding issues related to the recent visit of Mr. Thomas Malinowski, Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labour, to Bahrain.

The Minister and Secretary Kerry discussed the matter thoroughly and agreed to keep the issues related to Mr. Malinowski’s visit within diplomatic channels to avoid any unhelpful escalation, and prevent the issue from undermining other aspects of the relationship.

The Minister expressed his confidence that the two countries will overcome this issue and continue to move their bilateral relations forward in all fields.
