Foreign Minister receives SGI Executive Director for Peace Affairs

Manama, March 13 (BNA)— Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received today Executive Director for Peace Affairs at Soka Gakkai International (SGI) Hirotsugu Terasaki.

He hailed the key role played by SGI in promoting the culture of peace worldwide, taking pride in choosing Manama as the first city in the Middle East to host “From a Culture of Violence to a Culture of Peace-Towards a World Free of Nuclear Weapons” exhibition, which got underway on March 12 at Bahrain National Museum.

Shaikh Khalid underscored Bahrain’s keenness to boost regional and international peace.

On his part, Mr. Terasaki praised Bahrain’s cooperation with SGI in organising the exhibition and supporting international organisations in their efforts to bolster peace across the globe.
