Manama, June 29 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received today the Abu Dhabi-based and newly appointed non-resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Jan Thesleff, who presented a copy of his credentials.

The minister reviewed with the ambassador the progress of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Sweden.

He expressed his hope in the development of ties in various fields, wishing the Ambassador all success in carrying out his new duties, affirming every support to further boost bilateral relations.

The Ambassador affirmed his country’s keenness to develop relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding that he will exert all efforts to boost these ties in various fields for the benefit of joint interests, praising the progress in the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels.

The meeting also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
