The Formula One campaign has not gone smoothly so far for Red Bull and Kvyat is keen to see that change when they being the European leg of the term in Spain.
Red Bull were Mercedes’ closest challengers in 2014 after claiming three race victories, but have failed to be competitive this year due to reliability issues along with a resurgent Ferrari.
Kvyat picked up two points last time out in Bahrain after finishing in ninth and he admits that the team need to start climbing higher up the grid.
Kvyat said: “Obviously we do plan some (upgrades) like many other teams and hopefully they are going to work well.
“I am confident with the team – it is going to go forwards from now onwards because we have been going backwards. But now I feel the good work is coming.”
