Gang dressed as women rob City Centre Rolex shop

MANAMA: Three men disguised as women broke into the Rolex shop at Bahrain’s biggest mall and made off with watches worth thousands of dinars.

They raided the shop after it closed at 10pm on Tuesday and attacked a security guard, who required medical treatment.

Sources said 81 watches, which could be worth more than BD160,000, were stolen in the overnight raid by men wearing abayas.

Security camera footage has since been handed over to police and investigations are underway.

The Rolex shop was boarded up and cordoned off yesterday, while Bahrain City Centre management said security had been stepped up.
