Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, and his accompanying delegation arrived in Bahrain yesterday to lead the Sultanates delegation in the 12th session of the Joint Defence Council of the GCC Defence Ministers due to be held in Manama.

Sayyid Badr and his accompanying delegation were received at Shaikh Issa Air Base by Lt Gen Dr Mohammed bin Abdullah al Khalifa, State Minister for Defence Affairs of Bahrain, Maj Gen Shaikh Duaig bin Khalifa al Khalifa, Chief of Staff of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), and a number of BDF senior officers. The military delegation accompanying Sayyid Badr comprises Lt Gen Ahmed bin Harith al Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the Sultans Armed Forces (SAF), and a number of SAF senior officers.

Sayyid Badr and his accompanying delegation left here this evening. They were seen off at Al Seeb Air Base by Maj Gen Matar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), and a number of SAF senior officers.
