GCC Information Ministers have approved Bahrain’s proposal to enhance joint media action at international level.

The proposal aims to uplift the effectiveness of joint action by confronting provocative campaigns against GCC member states and by boosting co-ordination in case of emergency, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The ministers agreed to assign a specialised team tasked with developing the required vision within one month from the date of this meeting.

The GCC secretariat shall circulate the vision to the information ministers for approval before it is submitted to the ministerial council meeting next September.

The ministers also appreciated efforts of the Information Affairs Authority to develop ‘This is the Arabian Gulf’ radio station to keep with developments in the Gulf. – TradeArabia News Service
