Lotus’ Romain Grosjean is feeling upbeat about his team’s chances ahead of next weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix.
After a disappointing 2014 season, Lotus have enjoyed a change in fortunes during 2015.
The team switched to Mercedes power units in the off-season and it has already worked wonders this year.
After failing to finish inside the points during the first two races of the season, Grosjean came seventh in China and Bahrain.
Ahead of the Spanish GP, Grosjean insists there are plenty of positives to build on.
He told nbcsports.com: “It’s pretty exciting. We see some good races with us fighting hard in the pack. Up front we’ve seen some good dicing and Ferrari have shown that Mercedes is not invincible.
“In terms of performance we have achieved a one hundred percent record in reaching Q3 which is a very good result. We could have done more in the first two races had we not had a few issues but I think that we got everything right from China onwards.”
