Abu Dhabi, June 7 (BNA)— The General Union of Arab Writers (GUAW) denounced the Iranian interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs and repeated threats to its Arab identity.
The union also expressed rejection of foreign interference in any Arab Affairs, stressing the Syrian people’s right to a democratic and decent life. It also underlined the importance of confronting the increasing danger of judaisation of Jerusalem.
The union decided to allocate a day to celebrate the Palestinian culture every year.
This came during the meeting of GUAW’s permanent office in Abu Dhabi from June 3 to 5 under the chairmanship of GUAW Secretary General Mohammed Salmawi.
The union voiced solidarity with the UAE and its legitimate right to regain sovereignty over its three Iranian-occupied islands (Abu Musa and the Greater and Lesser Tunbs).
