Scheduled to launch on October 28, the airline intends to operate four weekly, A230 flights to Moscow’ busiest airport, Domodedovo International.
The route announcement follows the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carriers recent commencement of services to new destinations, including Sialkot in Pakistan, Tehran in Iran and the Greek capital, Athens.
Gulf Air’s acting CEO, Maher Salman Al Musallam, commented: “The addition of Moscow operations further demonstrates the airlines strategy of strengthening our network with key global destinations that provide strategic business and tourism links.”
By connecting Bahrain with Moscow, Gulf Air hopes to open up new doors of opportunity for trade, tourism and investment for both countries.

Timing its Moscow flights to offers travellers convenient onwards connections through Bahrain to the Gulf region, Indian subcontinent and Asia, Al Musallam said he was confident the new route would be a success.
