Gulf Air support hailed

Manama, July 2(BNA): Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, the final match of the first Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Sports Games and eighth Ramadan Football Championship (Nasser 8) will be held between Batelco Gunners United and Al Fakhar teams at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa instructed to allocate BD10, 000 worth of prizes for the audience, including 50 prizes varied between BD1000 cash prizes and paid trips to attend the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona “El Classico” in Spain.
Nasser 8 supreme organising committee announced that all regulatory and administrative procedures for the final match celebration have been completed.


VIP UNDEFEATED
In Nasser 8 basketball tournament, VIP Team Manager Mohammed Al Ajmi was able to create an undefeatable team that eventually won the cup of the first version of the tournament.
Al Ajmi praised the team members who played with the highest levels of team work and enthusiasm, which enabled them to win all the matches they played in the tournament.
He lauded HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee for his benevolence, patronage and efforts to provide a perfect sports environment for Bahraini youth, allowing them to demonstrate their talents and compete in a sportsmanship atmosphere.
Al Ajmi said that the previous editions of Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan championships have shed light on Bahraini talents and integrated them with official clubs and sports organisations.
International freestyle football champion Melody Donchet will present a show on Nasser 8 finals ceremony that will be held at Sofitel Hotel in Zallaq on Saturday the fourth of July.
The ceremony is expected to be attended by a number of dignitaries and football legends, as announced by the Nasser 8 supreme organising committee.
The committee also confirmed that Emirati television stars Hassan Habeeb, Shaikha Al Mazrooee and Fawaz Al Abdulla will be the announcers at the ceremony, which will be aired live on Bahrain Satellite Channel.


GULF AIR PATRONAGE PRAISED
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee commended Gulf Air for patronising the closing ceremony of Nasser 8, reflecting the company’s keenness on supporting youth and sports activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said the sustained partnership with Gulf Air and Nasser 8 sponsors has a positive impact on the success of the championship, contributing in gaining more momentum and reaching to a wider audience every year.
On his part, Gulf Air CEO Maher Al Musallam said the company’s contribution and sponsorship of Nasser 8 comes as part of the company’s national role to support local youth and sports events, adding that Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Championship has become the main annual sports tournaments in Bahrain.

US AND IRAQI AMBASSADORS ATTEND NASSER 8 GAMES
US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain William Roebuck and his son attended Nasser 8 basketball tournament final match that was held on Bahrain Basketball Association court and was won by VIP team on Wednesday, while Iraqi Ambassadors Ahmed Al Dulaimi attended part of Nasser 8 volleyball tournament.
