Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has announced that, following its successful resumption of operations to Thiruvananthapuram in India last year, it will be recommencing flights to Hyderabad, the fourth most populous city in India, with five weekly flights, starting from December 15.
The airline’s acting chief executive officer Maher Salman al Musallam said, “We are further strengthening our Indian operations after the successful launch of flights to Thiruvananthapuram in December last year. Now with the addition of Hyderabad, our sixth Indian destination, we are connecting south-central India to the Middle East – and we hope this route will appeal to travellers and be just as successful as our existing India operations.”
As one of the Middle East’s largest network carriers, Gulf Air’s five weekly Hyderabad operations will serve regional travellers with convenient connections within three hours through its efficient hub in Bahrain, providing excellent two way connectivity for travellers flying to and from the GCC, Africa and select Middle East destinations.
Gulf Air will expand its India network which currently includes Cochin, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and, most recently, Thiruvananthapuram with the addition of Hyderabad. The national carrier will be operating an A320 on the new route.
