THE 21st Gulf Cup, to be held in Bahrain from January 5 to 18 next year, is getting exposure in the Egyptian media for the first time in the history of the competition.
This is due to the efforts of the Media Committee in making this prestigious tournament a regional event not only across the GCC but also different continents.
The TV programme “Here Cairo”, being telecast on Modern Sport Channel, is highlighting Bahrain’s preparations to host the competition.
Prominent Egyptian media representative Younis Mustafa stressed the channel’s readiness to cover the event in a big way.
Younis revealed the importance of the Gulf Cup which is the most prestigious football competition in the GCC, pointing out that the event in Manama without any doubt will become one of the most successful competitions.
On his part, Kora Live website editor Abdulnasser Zidane said a corner on the main page is being used to cover updated news on the tournament.
Zidane revealed the preparations of the website to provide intensive coverage of the upcoming event by dispatching an integrated team to Manama as part of its commitment to promote the Bahrain event.
Meanwhile, members of the GCC Inspection Committee are scheduled to arrive in Bahrain today.
