Manama, Jan. 18 (BNA): Four of Bahrain’s sports associations will soon receive health insurance policies for their national teams’ athletes, the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) announced yesterday.
The committee has recently signed a one-year agreement with insurance company T’azur to provide health insurance facilities for all the sports associations across the kingdom.
BOC, represented by its sports affairs directorate, has just finalized issuing health insurance policy for four sports associations – athletics, tennis, martial arts and fencing.
The committee is yet to receive the necessary date and documents from the remaining sports associations to hand them over to the insurance company to process the cards for their respective athletes.
On his part, Sports Associations director Hesham Al Beloshi urged the associations to submit their data at their earliest convenience in order to ensure prompt issuance of their insurance cards.
Al Beloshi added that the committee has also completed issuing the cards for the international referees, who were included in this agreement this year, in appreciation to their role in the sports development in the kingdom.
