Manama, Dec.9 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh today honoured 92 employees who served more than 15 years and presented them with shields. The ceremony which marked the annual Bahrain’s Women Day was attended by Undersecretary Dr. Aisha Mubarak Bu’unq and other senior ministry officials.
Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, Head of the Equal Opportunities Unit, Fatima Al-Ahmed addressed the ceremony, paying tribute to Bahraini women. Citing updated figures, she said that the overall employees at the Health Ministry stand at 9815, pointing out that women make up a major bulk of 64 per cent (64%).
Public Relations Chief Nadia Al-Mousawi hailed the ceremony which represents a recognition of women employees’ dedicated efforts, lauding the officials for their support. She paid tribute to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, hailing the efforts of the SCW secretary-general Hala Al-Ansari. A documentary film was also shown.
