Manama, January 19th (BNA) –First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his deepest congratulations for HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa on the success of Bahrain hosting the 21st Gulf Cup, and its achievement on shaping an honorable image for Bahrain. HH also highlighted the concern of HM the King for the Gulf Cup for its importance in supporting the brotherly march of the citizens of the GCC states and the existing cooperation based on the one unity and love.
HH Shaikh Khalid also expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Crown Prince HRH Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa for patronizing the closing ceremony of the Tournament, supporting the Bahraini Sports and the efforts he is exerting in supporting all the sporting games, which resulted in elevating the Bahraini sports movement to accomplish a lot of achievements on the local and international levels.
HH Shaikh Khalid also expressed his thanks to the President of the organizing committee of the 21st Gulf Cup, HH Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa and his directives and follow up for all issues concerning organizing the Tournament, which received the admiration and appreciation of all the attendants.
HH Shaikh Khalid thanked Shaikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa the Chairman of the executive committee of the Tournament which followed up and supervised all the events. HH Shaikh Khalid also thanked all the governmental bodies and institutions which contributed in providing the efforts for hosting, preparing and organizing the successful Tournament of the Gulf Cup.
Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Khalid congratulated UAE National Team on winning the Tournament, praising the distinctive standard of the players, and their high performance which qualified them to win the Gulf Cup, stressing the support of the President of UAE for both the youth and sports sectors, wishing them all success.
On the other hand, HH Shaikh Khalid valued the loyal Bahraini fans stance supporting the Bahrain National Team, even though they didn’t reach the final match, wishing them all success in future Tournaments.
