London, Oct. 24. (BNA) — Participants at the British Inventions Show held in London under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President have hailed the event as a pioneering idea supported by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The said that the show was in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in encouraging and motivating inventors.
The participants highlighted the role of HH Shaikh Nasser in supporting and patronising the Show that has attracted several inventors from countries across all the continents and large crowds from various backgrounds.
The format adopted by the Show enabled all presenters to highlight their inventions with great ease and to communicate with the people keen on learning more about them.
Several participants said that Bahrain was a keen supporter of inventors, stating that the encouragement was clear from the patronage by HH Shaikh Nasser of the international event in London.
“We have heard a lot about Bahrain’s support for the youth and its encouragement, and we now witness such positive attitudes through the support extended to inventors,” participants said. “The success achieved by the inventors throughout the days of the Show is also a success for Bahrain that places the country among the states that support inventions and creativity. The continuous work and the endless efforts deployed by Bahrain are a clear indication of its outstanding dedication to encouraging creativity and promoting inventions, and this is all to their merit and a tribute to its endeavours to consolidate the reputation of the kingdom across the world,” they said.
The inventors added that they now hope that there will be steady communication between them and that the Show will continue to be organized regularly as a significant opportunity for inventors from various countries in all continents.
Praise from Croatian President Ivo Josipovic
The President of Croatia, Ivo Josipovic, praised the support of HH Shaikh Nasser to the Show and the interest of the Kingdom of Bahrain in inventors from all continents.
“I am very happy to be here at this Show. There are many distinguished inventions at this Show from Croatia and Bahrain,” he said. “The patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser of the Show is a positive matter and denotes the keenness of world countries to develop inventions, and we hope that such inventions will continue,” he said.
Al Hawaj’s impressive presence
Bahraini inventor Amina Al Hawaj asserted herself as a star at the Show where she is supported by the Intilaqa programme, an initiative from the Nasser bin Hamad Foundation that offers incentives to inventors.
Amina’s participation has clearly given a new impetus to Bahrain’s widening support in inventors and in preparing the most adequate conditions to promote their inventions, particularly in the international show in London where they have great opportunities to celebrate new ideas and form international partnerships that have remarkable benefits for the host country and for the international community.
“I am deeply grateful to HH Shaikh Nasser for his support to inventors and people with creative ideas from various countries from all continents,” Al Hawaj said. “My participation at this Show confirms Bahrain’s robust drive, under HM King Hamad, to support inventors and set up ideal conditions to motivate and encourage them to move forward and engage in more creative work and think of new inventions,” she said.
Al Hawaj added that she was pleased with her participation at the Show in London, describing it as successful.
“I am happy that my participation at the Show has been highly successful by all standards, particularly following the tremendous support I have received from Intalaqa through all my inventions. Several institutions and companies as well as visitors said they liked my invention,” she said.
A Hawaj said that the conditions set up by HH Shaikh Nasser were a significant factor in her success.
“HH Shaikh Nasser gave me a full and complete opportunity to take part in this highly significant Show,” she said. “My participation has enabled me to gain invaluable insights into ideas and concepts developed by other inventors from across the continents. Such important knowledge will certainly be highly beneficial for me in the future,” she said.
Her invention, “Aminatherapy”, is a mechanical device that has been constructed to provide an interface for the patient ti practice active or passive assisted movements of the hip, knee and ankle during the early stage of rehabilitation.
Kramer: Bahrain great supporter of inventors
Kane Kramer, the head of the British Inventors Society said that Bahrain fully supported inventors from all over the world.
“I would like to thank HH Shaikh Nasser for his great support to the British Inventions Show and for his interest in developing inventions in Britain and in all countries,” he said. “He is doing an outstanding work and I am very happy and proud to be here at the international Show. The Show is an opportunity for inventors from various counties to meet and to communicate with one another, which contributes to mutual benefits and learning from the various inventions,” he said.
Bill Carey, the winner of the Best Inventor Award in Britain in 2008, said that he was teaching inventions and that he was transferring his experiences to children in Britain.
He paid tribute to HH Shaikh Nasser’s support, stressing that they would not have been there at the Show without his endless support.
He added that the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser allowed them to transfer experiences to children and to improve their skills through the Show, saying that it was source of happiness for him.
