HM King Hamad chairs Supreme Defence Council meeting

Manama, Feb. 10 (BNA)– His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the BDF Supreme Commander and President of the Supreme Defence Council, chaired at Sakhir Palace today the Supreme Defence Council meeting, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

Discussion focused mainly on ways of developing joint work between Bahrain armed forces and their GCC counterparts within the framework of the joint defence agreement. Boosting the defence and security capabilities was also spotlighted.

HM the King congratulated the audience on the 13th anniversary of the National Action Charter and thanked the affiliates of Bahrain Defence Force, the Interior Ministry, the National Guard and the National Security Body for their efforts to protect Bahrain’s hard-won accomplishments and promote national security and stability.

HM the King stressed that building the nation is a common responsibility, wishing all very success in fulfilling their duties.
