Manama, Nov. 11 – (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the BDF hosts the World’s Eighth Military Golf Championship November 13-21 under the umbrella of the International Military Sports Council (CISM).

On this occasion, Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Operations also the Deputy Chairman of the Bahrain Golf Club, Major-General Diyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, said that the Royal patronage of this major sport event is the source of our pride which reflects His Majesty’s diligence to uplifting military sports and the Kingdom’s leading position in hosting international sports events.

He added that hosting this major sports event comes in compliance with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Golf sport in Bahrain receives continuous support from His Majesty the prime supporter of Golf in the Kingdom.

He also said that everybody is proud that the BDF officials, led by the BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and his consistent directives aimed to produce this event in a spectacular way which reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s advancement.

He said that military sports events foster cooperation and communication between peoples all over the world in line with the CISM’s motto of “Friendship through Sport”.
