HM the King arrives in Jeddah

Jeddah, Sept. 5 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalia arrived in Jeddah today on a visit to Saudi Arabia during which he will meet Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Adulaziz Al Saud.

HM was welcomed on arrival at King Abdul Aziz International Airport by Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Mecca Governor Prince Mesha’al bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Jeddah Mayor Dr. Hani Abu Ras, Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahraini General Consul to Jeddah Ibrahim Al-Mesalmani, senior Saudi civil and military officials and Bahrain embassy staff.

HM the King was greeted by the Guard of Honour. Then, he gave a statement in which he expressed happiness about visiting Saudi Arabia and meeting the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

HM underlined the need for continuous consultations to further consolidate historic fraternal ties binding the two countries and peoples at all levels. He said those relations are based on the belief in common destiny, brotherhood and unity.

HM the King paid homage to the fathers and forefathers for laying a solid ground for bilateral relations, thus setting a model to emulate by other countries.

HM asserted the importance of continuous coordination to rationalise visions and stances regarding regional challenges. He underscored the need for joint cooperation to work out appropriate solutions and maintain regional security and stability amid the growing threat of terrorism.

HM the King paid tribute to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his key role in tackling the Arab and Islamic issues, promoting peace and combating terrorism.

He underlined Bahrain’s support to Saudi Arabia in all its steps in fighting terror acts aimed at tarnishing the image of Islam, the religion of justice and peace.

HM praised the pioneering role of Saudi Arabia in maintaining the GCC unity and coordinating efforts to stave off ambient threats and foreign interference.


HM the King wished the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques continuous good health and a long life as well as more progress and prosperity to the Saudi people.
