HM the King patronizes Duty Force One achievements celebration

Manama , Oct 20 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa patronized the celebration ceremony held today, in the presence of Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, marking the remarkable success achieved by the brave and faithful Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) soldiers of (Duty Force One) during performing their duties in the Republic of Yemen shoulder to shoulder with their brethren of arms of the Yemeni National Army, the popular resistance and the Arab Coalition forces, in the liberation of Marib and taking control of the Bab Al-Mandab Strait, in support of the legitimacy in Yemen and to eliminate the foreign aggressive intentions and to protect the security and sovereignty of our homelands.

HM the King was received upon arrival by Royal Guard Commander Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Special Force Commander Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who led the (Duty Force One) with courage and high efficiency.

After playing the National Anthem and reciting few verses of the Holy Quran, the Royal Guard Commander delivered a speech marking the occasion.

The Royal Guard Commander welcomed HM the King on behalf of the Royal Guard officers and personnel.

He said that the Bahraini forces took part alongside the Arab coalition to support the legitimate government in Yemen and to restore stability there in line with the directives of HM the King to stand by the Kingdom of Saudi of Arabia in defending its southern borders against the Houthi militias and terrorist groups and to protect Islam and Arab nation.

He pointed out the bravery of the BDF soldiers and the martyrs who fell on the battlefield, pledging allegiance to HM the King and the homeland.

He expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and to BDF Commander-in-Chief for their unbounded support provided for the Bahraini forces.

Then, HM the King decorated the Royal Guard commander Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa with the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa first class decoration for his efforts in the development of the Royal Guard and uplifting their combat readiness to professional level, the courage and high efficiency he enjoyed during his leadership of (Duty Force One), his personal follow-up to the humanitarian relief campaign provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain to alleviate the suffering of the people of Yemen, and his numerous and remarkable contributions to serving the homeland.

HM the King ordered to award the Special Force Commander Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Military Medal of Bravery in recognition of his courage during the attack launched against them in liberation of Marib.

HM the King also decorated all those who took part in this noble mission with medals in recognition of carrying out their duties to the fullest.

HM the King took pride in all soldiers of (Duty Force One) for their gallantry and high efficiency. He expressed appreciation of their resolve to maintain their homeland flag flying high and supporting their brethren of arms of Arab coalition forces.

HM the King prayed to Almighty God to rest the souls of the martyrs in eternal peace, urging the valiant Bahraini soldiers to continue fighting until achieving complete victory to return home victorious.

The celebration ceremony was attended by senior Bahraini officials, high ranking officers and the British paratroopers team who participate in joint training with the Bahrain Defence Force within the joint military cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
