Manama, May 13 (BNA)– His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today Bahraini Ambassador to Kuwait and Head of the High Committee for the Conference on Dialogue between Civilisations and Cultures, which was hosted by Bahrain, Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The Bahraini ambassador presented HM the King with two books compiled by him. The first one, entitled “Dialogue between Civilisations-A Vision of a King”, comprises HM the King’s speeches on dialogue between civilisations and meetings. Meanwhile, the second book contains scientific researches documenting the Conference on Dialogue between Civilisations and Cultures.

HM the King thanked Shaikh Khalifa for his efforts in compiling the books, which represent an important reference for researchers, and in preparing for the key conference which brought together high profile religious figures and thinkers with the aim to promote tolerance and co-existence all over the world.

HM the King affirmed that Bahrain will remain at the crossroads of civlisations and an oasis of intellectual and cultural diversity, backing every effort and project aimed at achieving human unity.

Shaikh Khalifa extended heartfelt thanks and gratitude to HM the King for all the facilities provided by Bahrain to hold the conference, pointing out the recommendations resulting from it which aim to further promote inter-faith dialogue.
