Manama, Aug.28 (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has today sent a cable of thanks to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa in reply to two cables of congratulations from HRH the Premier marking the achievements of the Bahrain football squad and the Bahrain Under 17 basket ball team, which clinched respectively the fifth GCC Football Olympic Championship and the 3rd GCC U17 basket ball championship.

HM the King also sent a similar cable of thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister in reply to a congratulatory cable marking the two landmark sport achievements.

HM the King took pride in both sport achievements, hailing the efforts of the administrative and technical staff as well as the outstanding performance of the players.
