Manama, Mar. 15. (BNA) – His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, has sent a cable of congratulations to the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of the Bahrain Athletics Association Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa following the outstanding success of the 35-km Swimming Challenge extending from the Sunset Resort in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to the Sofitel Resort in Zallaq, Bahrain, in which 70 world athletes took part.

HRH Crown Prince expressed pride in Shaikh Khalid’s landmark event whose proceeds will be allocated for cancer patients in Bahrain, noting that the kind initiative reflects Shaikh Khalid’s keenness to use sport to achieve noble goals that benefit the Bahraini society and enhance social solidarity.
