Manama, June9(BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received the board directors of Bahrain Medical society, headed by Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Raffei, at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness welcomed the range of initiatives introduced to improve access to health services, a fundamental right of every citizen and resident, and underscored the government’s commitment to the sector’s continued development. He also called for increased strategic partnerships between the various stakeholders in the health sector, in order to drive its further development.
His Royal Highness further emphasised the importance of the Medical Society’s role in setting the goals that guide the health sector, alongside collecting scientific findings and organising international medical conferences to improve the sector’s expertise.
His Royal Highness concluded by congratulating the newly elected board members, and wished them success in their new roles ensuring the excellence of the medical profession in Bahrain. His Royal Highness further emphasised the trust placed in them by society and their responsibility to serving the health sector, including through the exchange of international expertise. The board members expressed their gratitude in meeting His Royal Highness, and welcomed his commitment to the development of Bahrain’s health sector. They noted that His Royal Highness’s directives in this regard would guide their immediate work.
