HRH Crown Prince receives South Korean Ambassador

Manama, June4(BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received the South Korean Ambassador to Bahrain, His Excellency Joon Ha Yu, at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness praised the longstanding ties between Bahrain and South Korea and emphasised the potential for both countries to increase cooperation across a range of areas.His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations with South Korea, and underscored the importance of establishing a common framework of cooperation built upon clear channels of communication between the two countries.

With regards to furthering economic cooperation between the two countries, His Royal Highness noted the strong presence of South Korean companies in the Kingdom serving various sectors including engineering, hospitality and financial services. His Royal Highness went on to emphasise the role played by his official visit to South Korea in 2012, as well as the visit of the South Korean Prime Minister to the Kingdom, in advancing bilateral ties through significant trade and investment agreements between the two countries.

His Royal Highness concluded by wishing Ambassador Ha Yu every success as he works to further strengthen bilateral trade ties between Bahrain and South Korea.For his part, Ambassador Ha Yu expressed his gratitude for meeting His Royal Highness, and welcomed His Royal Highness’ commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. Ambassador Ha Yu expressed his hope that his work in the Kingdom will help to further boost relations between Bahrain and South Korea. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also attended the meeting.
