HRH Premier affirms support to Bahraini writers

Manama, Mar. 24. (BNA) – His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has lauded Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa’s patriotic literary, cultural and intellectual contributions, noting that through his bright and rich experience, he represents a model for the coming generation regarding the diversity of human creativity.
This came as HRH Premier received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Chairman of the Bahrain Writers Association (BWA) Ebrahim Bu Hindi, and BWA Board members, in the presence of Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa and a number of GCC writers.

The Bahrain Writers Association has honoured Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa for being a national cultural icon.

HRH Premier said that Shaikh Isa’s works represented a school of its own in literary and poetic creativity, given their eloquent style that reflected the Bahraini people’s genuine civilisation and rich history.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the honouring of Bahraini creators in all fields in recognition of their hard-work and landmark contributions projected the kingdom’s bright cultural image.

He stressed the need to enhance interaction among GCC writers and intellectuals for the sake of developing GCC citizens and making them effective partners in advancing their countries.

Members of the Bahrain Writers Association extended sincere thanks, gratitude and appreciation to HRH Premier for his constant support for it and its literary and cultural events, which, they said, had motivated writers and intellectuals to be more creative.

They asserted that the kingdom is currently witnessing a literary and cultural golden age in light of the wise leadership’s respect for the value of culture and creativity in advancing the nation.
