HRH Premier calls for the need to bolster cooperation with Britain

Manama, Jun. 10. (BNA) – His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has called for the need to bolster trade and economic cooperation with Britain through launching more joint projects between Bahraini companies and their British counterparts, given their positive impact in consolidating trade and economic relations and cooperation at all levels.

He said that Bahrain welcomes British investments, in light of the opportunities and promising sectors available in the kingdom.

He made the remarks as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the British Ambassador Iain Lindsay, who submitted to him a report on the achievements and future plans of the UK-Bahrain Joint Working Group for 2014.

HRH Premier affirmed the kingdom’s desire to expand areas of cooperation and coordination with the UK in various fields, noting that Bahrain is looking forward to availing of the British expertise in many development areas.

He underlined Bahrain’s keen interest to constantly maintain the advanced level of its solid long-standing ties with Britain.

HRH the Prime Minister lauded the “pivotal” role played by the British experts in Bahrain’s renaissance and progress and desire to increase their contributions so as to reflect the steadily-growing bilateral relations.

Ambassador Lindsay expressed his country’s profound appreciation to the Government of Bahrain, led by HRH Premier, for its support to efforts to boost the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation through encouraging joint projects and motivating British companies to invest in the kingdom.
