Manama, Aug.22 (BNA): The crucial role of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa in promoting Bahrain’s development and progress won praise.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Consultative Authority member Kadhim Al-Said paid tribute to HRH the Premier on winning the Information and Communication Technology Award in Sustainable Development from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

“The ITU prize acknowledges the Premier’s farsighted vision and reflects Bahrain’s social and economic development strides”, he said, describing the award as an honour to all Bahrain and its people.

He hailed the sound policies of the Government, chaired by HRH the Premier, which won recognition in the regional and international arenas.

He lauded the Premier’s track record of internationally-recognised landmark achievements, praying to Allah Almighty to bless him with abundant health and happiness to continue Bahrain’s development march.
