Manama, Aug. 27. (BNA) – The Bahraini people’s rallying together against crisis-mongering calls has safeguarded Bahrain and foiled the conspiracies staged against it for the aim of dragging it into a state of chaos and instability, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said.
He asserted that the Bahraini people, in cities and villages, had been patient with them for so long and then took a decisive stance against them by rejecting their incitement campaigns and thwarting them, adding that such an honourable patriotic stance has proved the isolation of those behind those calls and their inciters and laid bare their real size.

The Premier made the remarks as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Central Governor Mubarak Al-Fadhel, and a number of the Central Governorate’s MPs, dignitaries and scores of citizens who expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to him for his recent visit to the Governorate.

He said that openness and frankness are basic components of the government’s policy of interaction with the people, adding that the Bahraini people has the right to be informed about all issues related to the homeland, which, he noted, requires the media sector to be constantly ready to highlight reality and defunct defamatory campaigns launched by some media outlets.

He affirmed that the security of the citizens and stability of the nation top the government’s priorities, especially after the issuance of the National Assembly recommendations.

He underlined his personal follow-up of efforts to implement the recommendations of the National Assembly in order to ensure that Bahrain remains fortified against terrorism, stressing that the kingdom has taken a number of anti-terrorism measures that have enjoyed “international praise” and will continue taking others in order to deter terrorists and protect the country from the dangers of terror.

“In order to achieve that, we have to be cautious, adhere to national unity and the deep-rooted social fabric and be more resolved to carry on the nation-building march so as to meet the citizens’ aspirations for a secure and decent life,” he said.

He affirmed that the “loyal Bahraini people’s unity against those seeking to wreak havoc in their country deserves our praise and appreciation,” adding that those patriotic stances have proved the genuine metal of the Bahraini citizens who joined ranks and confronted all those who wanted evil and harm for the homeland.

“The voice of the people, which was loud in rejecting and denouncing terrorism, is the most powerful, and the popular will always be victorious,” he said, pledging no hesitation in taking the necessary legal actions against terrorists and instigators.

“There will be no laxity or leniency when it comes to national security and stability,” he stressed.

He emphasized that the Bahraini people’s high-awareness has always been –and still is- the first protective shield of the nation, and therefore, evil plans to sow division among members of the Bahraini society or drag the country into the abyss of violence so as to undermine the hard-won achievements attained thanks to the joint efforts of the citizens are doomed to fail.

“Our hands will remain stretched to those want to help us build our nation, but we will not stretch it to those seeking to destroy the country and spread chaos across it.” He also said.

He emphasized that Bahrain will remain fortified against division as long as its educated and aware people is dedicated in its service.

On their part, the Central Governorate’s citizens extended sincere thanks and gratitude to HRH Premier for keenness to reach out to the citizens and interact directly with them during his field visits to all regions, adding that the Premier has set an example of wise leadership through his constant desire to meet the people on all occasions.

They confirmed their full-fledged support for the measures taken by the leadership to maintain security nationwide, pledging HRH Premier to be faithful soldiers whose only goals is to defend their nation and confront all attempts to spread terrorism and chaos.

They also extended heartfelt congratulations to HRH Premier on being granted the European Award for the International Personality of the year 2013 announced by the Arab Union of Economists and Administrators in the European Union in tribute to his landmark achievements at the local and international levels.
