Manama, Sept. 22 (BNA)– His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) General Lloyd Austin and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed relations of friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and the USA, mainly in the military and defence fields.

They also reviewed issues of common concern as well as regional and international developments.

HRH the Prime Minister stressed the need for concerted international efforts to eliminate the causes of tensions in many parts of the world, underscoring the importance of building an effective international partnership to achieve global peace and security.

On his part, the US CENTCOM Commander underlined his country’s keenness to boost bilateral relations for the common interest of both countries and people.
