Manama-July-17(BNA)His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa today gave directives to promote development in the Southern Governorate.

He stressed the importance of expanding housing, educational and service-oriented projects and upgrading roads and infrastructure for the Southern Governorate to be more appealing to citizens.

HRH the Premier was speaking as he visited the majlis of Al-Rumaihi family in Jaw where he exchanged greetings on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

He stressed the Government’s resolve to continue efforts to develop the infrastructure and ensure decent living standards for citizens, directing competent authorities to fast-track projects that cater to community needs

“The march of development will continue unabated in all fields”, he said, urging firm commitment to the national unity.

He called on all social parties to stand unity and deter any attempt to subvert Bahrain’s security and stability.

He vowed to take all measures to maintain national security and stability, pledging to thwart any attempt to drive wedges and sow sectarian or religious divide.

He hailed prominent families for their longstanding patriotic stances and contribution to the national development, stressing the importance of majlisses which serve as platforms to exchanges views regarding Bahrain’s present and future.

HRH the Premier paid a similar visit to the majlis of Al-Kaabi family in Askar where he exchanged greetings on the advent of Ramadan.

He described citizens’ needs as a top priority, stressing the Government’s drive to promote projects and upgrade infrastructure, housing, educational and health services.

He underscored the importance of preserving the characteristic features of each region across Bahrain and promoting the deep-rooted family heritage being an integral part of Bahrain’s history.

He urged nationality unity stressed the need to maintain Bahrain’s security and stability and confronting all subversive designs.
