Manama, June 29 (BNA)– His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa urged today to embrace national unity as the basis of any effort aimed at preserving hard-won achievements brought about by the government and citizens.
He was speaking as he paid a visit today to the Majlis of President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa. HRH the Premier congratulated Shaikh Abdullah and the audience on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan. He underlined the importance of promoting the culture of tolerance and harmony by shunning division.
“The Bahraini people will always remain united and keen on protecting the nation and its achievements for a better future for the posterity,” HRH the Prime Minister said, stressing Bahrainis’ deep-rooted customs and traditions and keenness to communicate in the Holy Month of Ramadan.
On his part, Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa thanked HRH the Premier for visiting his Ramadan Majlis, wishing him abundant good health.
Then, HRH the Prime Minister visited the Majlis of Representatives Council Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani and congratulated the attendees on the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing Bahrain continuous security and stability and underscoring the importance of such meetings as part of the authentic Bahraini traditions during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
HRH the Premier exchanged talks with the audience, asserting keenness to keep in touch with citizens and reach out to their needs. He emphasised the importance of the issues raised in the Ramadan Majlises which reflect keenness on the welfare of Bahrain and its people.
The Representatives Council Speaker hailed HRH the Premier’s visit to his Majlis which reflects keenness to communicate with citizens, wishing him a long life and abundant good health.
After that, HRH the Prime Minister visited the Majlis of Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa where he exchanged Ramadan good wishes with the audience. HRH the Premier underscored the key role played by Ramadan Majlises in boosting social relations and fostering unity and cohesion among all the Bahraini people. He described those Majlises as a reflection of the one-family spirit which has always characterised the Bahraini society and an opportunity to promote religious values of tolerance, compassion and brotherhood.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa took honour in HRH the Premier’s visit to his Majlis, describing the annual habit as a reflection of HRH the Prime Minister’s keenness to preserve it as a Bahraini tradition and promote it as a culture.
