Manama, Nov.10 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President sent a cable of congratulations to His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa in reply to his congratulatory cable marking the OIC Women and Sports Award 2015 for Asia, which was bestowed on Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al-Khalifa.

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa said that the award acknowledges the dedicated efforts of the laureate Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al-Khalifa in the sport field, stressing her national and international participations. She paid tribute to HM the King, stressing the royal keenness on promoting women’s sport movement in Bahrain. She also hailed the commitment of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to enhance the performance of Bahraini sportswomen in national and international arenas.
