Manama, Dec. 18 (BNA)– Son of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa lauded the great popular participation in Bahrain’s celebrations of its National Days which, he said, confirms, the Bahraini people’s patriotism and loyalty to their leadership.

He was speaking as he patronised “Our Bahrain is our Pride” celebration which was held at Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Park in Muharraq. The ceremony, which was also attended by HRH the Crown Prince’s son Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, was organised by Muharraq Municipality in cooperation with the municipal council to mark the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 42nd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 14th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne.

Shaikh Isa expressed happiness about sharing the joyful moments with Muharraq citizens and residents, commending the good organisation of the celebration and thanking those who contributed to its success.

The celebration featured various activities, including poetry, folkloric shows, an operetta and Bahrain Ardha.

Shaikh Isa and Shaikh Mohammed toured the celebration’s location and inspected a popular suq accompanying the festivities and a traditional ships show.
