Manama, Jan. 14 (BNA)– President of the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) Ali Mohammed Al Rumaihi lauded the role of the sport press in covering the sporting and youth events and developing the media sector in Bahrain.
Speaking at a meeting with Heads of local newspapers sport sections, he stressed Bahrain Sport TV’s keenness to benefit from the experience of sport journalists and columnists to develop the channel’s programmes.

He highlighted the channel’s success in covering 2013 sporting events, pointing out keenness to further develop its news coverage and programmes in 2014.

He also unveiled a plan to groom the channel’s Bahraini media and technical cadres and upgrade their competences by availing of Arab and foreign experiences.
