Industry and Commerce Minister meets his Pakistani counterpart

Islamabad, Mar 20 (BNA) — In the framework of the historic visit made by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Hassan Fakhro, today met Pakistani Minister of Commerce and Textile, Eng. Khurram Dastgir Khan, in the presence of Board Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and officials of both sides.

Dr. Fakhro hiled both countries’ political leaderships in supporting the solid bilateral economic relations to reaching common goals, stressing support for the private sectors and investors of both countries to attain their aspirations in the establishment of joint ventures in the interests of the two countries.

He reviewed the facilitations provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain to investors and commercial and projects, attractive environment and strategic location characterize Bahrain, pointing out Bahrain has signed the Free Trade Agreement with the United States, by which the Pakistanis investors can benefit from the many merits offered for existing projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He noted the economic city project that Bahrain aims to implement in the future and the huge advantages would be available to investors, highlighting Bahrain’s government’s support for small and medium industries.

Pakistani Commerce Minister lauded the Bahraini-Pakistani relations and affirmed his country’s keenness to further promote them in all fields.
